I love the Scatered Few...

I can honestly say I have never had a dream that featured Allen and Omar but last night I did....

In this dream for some reason Allen and Omar were at my house, but it looked more like our place in Spokane,Wa then were we are living now. We sat around on the floor talking about Scatered Few..Allen's friend Micheal Chang (Who happens to be Beth's cousin...at least I think his name is Micheal only met him once maybe twice).

As we are talking I am cleaning out all of daisy's old little kid stuff...shoes clothes etc. I am not sure what to do with them and Allen and Omar are like "We can use these thing for our kids!". Mind you there kids are all grown up now. So they take all these little kid shoes and stuff.

Then in the dream Beth, my kids and a few people I recognize but am unsure of who they are at this moment were walking through a shopping area almost like Pike's Market in Seattle.....then I am awake.

I get up..check my e-mail and my twitter and in my twitter I see a post by Allen regarding their fundraiser for there bus "Judah" that is up in Medford Oregon....

Kind of odd....sort of!

Last night was a blast!

So just walked in the door...got Silence O' Israel tucked into their hotel room and AllorNothing seen off back to Hollister.

The turn out was awesome tonight...the amount of toys donated was rad and I look forward to being able to drop them off on Monday.....We were able to bless ANthony from Sounds&Sciences who is leaving tomorrow for a missions trip to South Korea...

As I sat and watched each band play and saw the kids hanging out I remembered why I love this stuff....God has really blessed us to be in a position that we can do things like this every now and again.

All I have to say right now is thank you...so here it goes:
God for grace and mercy even when I sin!
My family for years of support...
All the bands...made some new friends tonight, got to fellowship with others-just a blessing all around
Brandy....Thanks for the article in the Dinuba paper this week!!
The kids.....It's all for you guys!!
Every kid that handed out flyers!
Pastor Al Serna
God for grace and mercy even when I sin ( I know I already said that....but it's true)

God want's to meet each and everyone of us where we are....

Thanks for a great night!! If you have pics send em to me!
Cheers
Frankie

Youth Sunday at Living Word..

So today was youth Sunday at the church and the way did was actually alot like there youth group...He did an interesting thing with his sermon that he called Organic Christianity.

Matt set up the sermon and then three kids from the youth group spoke and it all tied together. Lindsee's best friend Cristal was the first kid and then this kid named Greg. Lindsee spoke last about revolution. It was funny cause I warned her about rambling on and well...that went out the window!

As I sat there and watched these kids especially Lindsee (my 16 year old) I could only think that you can see these kids love God. When Lindsee was speaking within the chaos of rambling and wierd random noises of nervousness you could see passion she has for Christ!

Lately I turn around and there is a random kid I have never met with hunger for God...It is time for us to take a hint from the hungry youth.

deep breath now sigh....

It's been kind of crazy....opportunities have come and gone. Have moments where I am bummed about the choice I had to make I am hoping in the end it was the right one for all.

This job at Starbucks has been keeping me busy especially since scheduling is a bit on the retarded side...They have all there holiday crap up and I am looking forward to the holiday season being over and done with. I am working Thanksgiving-time and a half sounds kind of good to me.

Daisy's first season playing soccer is starting to wind down...one more regular season match left and then a championship game. Right now her team is in first place.

I am ready for Friday....have a day off where I can just kind of kick it and be lazy. Maybe go into Fresno and go to Wahoo's. I don't know - gotta do something thats for sure!

I wish I had some great pearls of wisdom and insite but I do not...Life has been a bit on the dull side as always - work and walk home and repeat the cylcle. Wish I was cutting hair instead of hustling coffee!

2nd Annual Hardcore Toy Drive

Saturday December 5th is the 2nd Annual Hardcore Toy Drive. (see flyer below). At last years event we collected $100 dollars worth of toys that were donated to a local battered womens home here in Dinuba,Ca.

You may think that is not alot but considering they were all donated by high school kids within the community I call it a success.

As people start to get ready for the holiday season and we begin to prepare for this years event I am excited and hopeful to see more kids within the community come and participate in this toy drive. This gives kids the chance to do something for someone else they normally would not do.

If you are reading this and would like to know if there is something you can do...well there is:
1) Join us! Bring your kids, your friends or the neighbors kids.
2)Do not want to come to the show...thats cool you can send a toy donation in the mail to us (toys for both boys and girls)
3)You can make a donation via paypal (frank_e_reiland@yahoo.com) that will be used to either purchase gift cards or additional toys.

We want to thank Dinuba Youth For Christ for opening there youth center to us for this event and for their continued support.

If you have any questions feel free to contact us here or at frank_e_reiland@yahoo.com

Cheers

GRR ARGH!

All I have wanted is that one break....the one shop that wants to give me the tools I need to succeed. The door wide open that I keep having to close and ignore. I am frustrated right now!!

Before You Pray

Every believer can have a dynamic personal prayer life. The Bible gives us the keys that we need to develop a powerful prayer life. Scripture is full of examples of men and women who walked with God and used prayer to impact their world, and you can do the same thing through prayer.

However, before praying, there are four things that we should take into consideration.

1. Schedule a regular prayer time. Find a time every day to spend in prayer. The important thing is that we should be consistent. The psalmist said that he prayed seven times a day.
2. Choose a private place to pray. A prayer closet could be anywhere as long as it is private. You can use your garage, pantry, front porch, or any other creative place where you can get alone with God. Some people pray while driving in their car and others pray while working out or running.
3. Try to limit distractions. Don't pray in the same room where you watch television or are tempted by other activities.
4. Have a prayer list to guide your prayers. You should pray for your family, friends, church, etc. This will ensure that you don't forget important things to pray for.

Rev. 2:5....another call for repentance

I really should be hitting the pillow since I have to be up at 3:30 am - I am a sinner...you can thank the first parents for that (Adam and Eve). I like the rest of the world was born into this mess and I beleive that there is only one hope - that is repentance of sin and calling on Jesus Christ who was murdered for our sins!(john 3:16).

Revelations 2:5
5'Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and I)">(I)repent and J)">(J)do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your K)">(K)lampstand out of its place--unless you repent.

This verse is another call to repentance - God is calling us to look at where we fell and where we sinned and repent and return to that place before we sinned.

Listen I know...most of my friends out there do not agree with me and that cool and the stuff I write about in this blog has not changed the way we feel about each other - I am really starting to believe that sin is sin - there is no forgiveness of sin with out repentance - there is no grace with out repentance.

Matt. 3:2 "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." (NAS)

Week over yet

It's been one of those weeks....for some reason there has been a ton of tension around the house. When you are in a house with six people in it you sometimes get to a point where you just want to ring everyone's neck.

I am right now trying to understand the whole "door closes...window opens" concept especially when doors open and you close them yourself. At least work is going ok.

I am hoping to finally have this motor sold this week and maybe have a few bucks to burn a hole in my pocket... ok fine I will put it in the bank.

Two more work days then I am off on Sunday, Tuesday and then on Friday oh yeah with nothing to do.

So here we go folks....

So the other night Pastor Mark Driscoll was on Nightline during a series on the 10 commandments. In the introduction they called him a part of the "emergent" church and this is not correct. (watch video below)

This has been a big issue for me because I have noticed and written about it at different times...."emergent" church is some shady stuff and it has become a big issue I have noticed because some of the leaders within this movement pushes the line of heresy! Teachers within this movement teach doctrine that contradicts the word of God.

A book I have been reading is called "Faith Undone" that covers this topic pretty extensively and has kind of screwed me up in the sense that now all I do is question doctrine....and there is nothing wrong with that....

I wish I could explain it better but I can not....watch the video and I hope it helps make sense of what I am talking about!

Just another day...

Sitting here listening to The Aggrolites...Looking at the schedule for this years ISSE show down in Long Beach. After going last year I kind of want to go again this year and check out some of the stuff I missed out on. This year American Crew will be showing off the 2010 collection and of course there is a bunch of stuff Beth wants to see.

The flip side of this is I am not cutting hair anymore and it is not because I do not want to but I do not have a choice in the matter...I have to make money and right now starbucks is my only option. Who would of thought I would be working at a Starbucks!

It is starting to look like Beth may be seeing a promotion at her job and thats a good thing for her...management and still doing hair so its a win win!

Kids are doing good...Daisy made it through her first football match. Daisy is #10. This is her first year as a footballer and she seems to be having a good time with it plus she is getting much needed exercise.

Lindsee's cheer is the same as last year...bickering little whiney high school girls who think they are better then everyone else (Lindsee's word not mine). She is working really hard in school still stuggling with math though...she almost has a 3.0 so you can not go wrong with that!

Well that is my week so far....annoyed with the news...blessed-so things are alright for now!

Not a bad way to spend a friday.....

So yesterday was Beth's birthday. We got up in the morning and went and had breakfast...She went to work and had a facial then we came home because I still had to work yesterday at Starbucks. After I got off we went to Mr. Sushi ate a couple of rolls...drank a big bottle of Asahi and then headed over to club Fred. The bands that played were the Henchmen from Los Angeles and also The Marauding Ghouls. It was a cool show..saw some cats I had not seen in some time...sold some product...etc, etc, etc. I think we got home around 2:30 or so...It made for a pretty good day and Beth seemed to be cool with the way her birthday went so that is good. Today was Dinuba's raisin day parade and the truth is the only thing worse then Raisin Day is Cinco De Mayo weekend and maybe Hillyard Days Parade...No seriously. So as soon as DHS cheer leaders were done I was out of there...No Dinuba pride for me!!

I like capitalism!!

capitalism (n.)

"An economic system in which the means of production and distribution are privately or corporately owned and development is proportionate to the accumulation and reinvestment of profits gained in a free market."

If it were not for Capitalism I would not have a job, Luis would not have the chance to make his business a success, expansion teams in the MLS would not exist...etc, etc.

Anti-capitalist...anti-american people have a right to voice there opinion (God bless the Constitution) but guess what there is a line where actions become a form of domestic terrorism. When protestors begin causeing destruction to business and public and private property is when it becomes a form of domestic terrorism!!

These are the people that can kiss my ass!! that is all I have to say!

The Crucified.....

Let's see I am 35 now and the Crucified is celebrating 25 years...yeah that sounds about right.

For most people who know about The Crucified (www.myspace.com/thecrucifiedofficial) they were one of the most influential bands in Christian punk / metal / hardcore scene through out the 80's and into the early 90's. Every kid who was in a band wanted to be like them (myself included), cover there songs and just down right looked up to them. For me The Crucified was more then just a band....they were my childhood and youth!!

I am the middle of three boys. Wayne is my older brother by almost 6 years which meant me and Billie grew up with his friend coming around the house and some of these guys were people he went to Grace Community Church with there in Madera,Ca and high school with. A couple of these guys were Greg Minier and Jim Chaffin. I came to know Mark Salomon when I was a little older but I knew Mark as Mark Cooksey. The truth is these were not guys in a band to me but guys that put up with me cause I was Wayne's little brother.

I remember when I was younger Jim drove this VW Fastback and if memory serves me correct he would stay in car when he would come to pick Wayne up because my dad would give him a hard time....Truth is these were just Wayne's cool friends.

Older I got the more freedom to come and go I had and then I learned all about the Knight of Columbus Hall. My years in high school would not have been the same without this place....The Crucified, Applehead, Knucklehead, Scatered Few, Checkmate, Let's Go Bowling...just to name a few of the bands that I would see. In high school I would cut class and go to Jim's work and chat him up (he worked at a produce company in Madera). We would talk about the band (Crucified and the blamed), the church (Calvary Chapel was in the Tower District at the time). I probably annoyed him but I appreciated him putting up with a dumb high school kid.

Truth is because of Wayne being my brother...so much of what I have been apart of in my life is because of his influence...The KGB, promoter, dj...all this stuff influenced me. The Crucified was part of all of this...

I am not trying to re-write there bio or anything like that this is just how I remember growing up with the guys that went on to become the Crucified.

They were more then just a band....they were my childhood!!

Thanks for the memories!!

12 scene points for me....

So on Sunday after attending church with the family we hit up the Starbucks here in beautiful Dinuba and I was offered a job!! Yes folks you heard me right - Frankie is going to be a Starbuck coffee hustla!

The goal is to get a stable schedule there so I can try to find a way to cut hair part time..somewhere!

I am happy with the fact that I am going to be working - bummed that I am stuck here though.

On other topics....Jimmy Carter is a jackass, Daisy made it through her first day of soccer practice and this week is Free Setanta Preview week which means that I get to watch soccer for a few days uninterupted!!

life is alright!

No title....cause I can not think of one!!

So recently the term "G12" has come up a few times so tonight I have been trying to look it up and see where its roots are from then I see it connected to Mike Bickle (IHOP) and Tedd Haggard (Colorado pastor who committed adultery and busted with meth)....

It seems like there are alot of new trends popping up in Christian culture and trying to determine what is biblical and what is a false teaching is becoming tougher and tougher. I mean the lines are getting blurrier everyday!!

I am getting tired and everything is starting to read the same.....so I will say this - Put that new trend, new doctrine or hip new theology next to the word of God see how it compares tell me if it stands next to what God has laid out in His word because if it does not stand next to what the Bible says....yo man you are getting suckered!!!

And so it begins....

Monday is Daisy's first day of practice....Her kit came today and she is really excited. This will be the first time she has played a sport of any kind. She will be playing for the Rotary Club and her first match will be October 3rd.

Today was the first DHS Football game but Lindsee is at Encounter instead of cheering this week.

Now I have two kids playing a sport!!

Never Forget the past......

Today is September 11th, 2009 and on this day in 2001 the United States was faced with one of it's greatest tragedies since the bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1941.

This morning I turned on the news to see different memorials about that day and really the only thing that came to mind was that it seems like people forget what happened until they are reminded. It seems like people have forgotten the lives lost....the heros...the survivors. Its politics as usual.

Tomorrow is 9/12 and back to business as usual......I hope not.

I saw Comeback Kid last night....

You know when you watch a movie that has some cool band playing a party. You know what I am talking about Good Charolette playing a prom, Letters to Cleo playing at a high school....etc.

Last night was Marshall and Alicia's friend Hutchs birthday and his birthday party consisted of the roof of a local restaurant, food, booze and COMEBACK KID!!!

It was a once in a lifetime event.... something that does not happen everyday. It was one of the best nights I have had in a really long time. Alot of people that I care about were there - I can not seem to find the words to explain what a good time I had....Thanks Hutch!

like tex avery

Just finished watching a special about Tex Avery....already seen it but watch it when ever it is on!

Friday, August 21, 2009

Sittingt here watching Anthony Bourdaine and thinking about getting home.... Lot on my mind. Looking forward to getting home to my family, starting to make plans for the December toy drive at the Youth For Christ center.... I want Sleeping Giant or Braveheart. As always all I am looking for another to share Christ with the kids in Dinuba.

Picked up the new book by Mark Driscoll "Religion Saves and Nine other misconceptions". It is based off of a series of sermons he did some time ago....Good book so far especially since I had only heard some of the sermons when they posted them on-line.

Reading book of Hebrews right now.... chapter 11. Will probably read it multiple times before I go to the next chapter for book.

Something to think about

I have a question.... What do people see in you when they know you are a Christian. Do people see you as a hypocrite, do they see you as pushy or just an asshole!! I can understand sometimes when people do not like Christians because there are those out there that just kind of suck.

I have one thing to say and it is something that makes sense to me... Are you the same person walking down the street as you are when you step foot into a church, are you the same person when you are shopping as you are in you bible study group and are you the same person when you are hanging out with your friends as you are when you are praying and talking to God. If the answer is "yes" then cool. But if the answer is "no" or "mayber" you better take a good look at who you are because the people around you are watching!!!

ANother night of rambling!

I am worried about getting back to Fresno only because I do not want to go through everything I went through when I moved back the first time around. If I could I would go back to school for a few weeks to try and fine tune some of my skills....I got to do a couple of haircuts at the Hillyard Hootenany and that was cool.

This has been a long week.... seems to be taking forever to get through. I have picked up a few short shifts so I have some extra hours on my paycheck. I was originally going to watch a stupid reunion show at the Knitting Factory but I am working til close now..... maybe thats a good thing. Some bands need to just stay broken up.

The 15th is the Galaxy v. Sounders.......Sounders need this win in a bad way!! The last few weeks have not gone well for us and I am not even counting the exhibition matches between Chelsea and against Barcelona FC. We lost not only against Real Salt Lake but against the San Jose Quakes who seriously suck!!

Saturday Chelsea plays Hull City which rules since we are coming off of a win against Manchester United....I am looking forward to an exciting EPL season and am sad as MLS season starts to draw to and end

Well I think I am going to go to bed....done rambling for the night. Thanks marshall for use of the laptop

hey check it out another blog...

So it is 12:47 am and I am sitting here on Marshalls laptop checking out Craigslist to see what is going and notice that Floyd's is hiring again. This time is it in Venice Beach which would be rad. I just need a copy of my resume to send so I can try and get a job....soon.

So my time here is Spokane is quickly coming to an end....working hard keeping bills paid and reading my Bible a lot to. Marshall and Alicia have been so rad I will miss them greatly. Truth is we have not hung out that much since I have been here between me working, Marshall working and Alicia working. Truth is I have not hung out with many people at all which kind of bums me out. That is just the way it goes.

So it is looking like I will be leaving town on the 5th of September so I can get home in time for out anniversary. I am ready to get home and be with the kids and Beth...be a good dad and husband...which I have always been those things.

I do not know what is going to happen next just kind of stepping out in Faith for everything else! I am learning about stewardship, giving and just trusting God when its tough because that is really when it matter...When things are going the easiest thats when you do not care about anything it is when it is tought. It should not be like that it just is.

Realisiticly if you say you are a Christian you need to live your life and have that same faith in the good and the bad....He is the same God no matter what is going on in our lives.

still alive

I am in the home stretch and will be going home soon. Its been a tough time being away from the family and the good thing is I have been able to help keep some of the bills paid.

I am looking forward to saturday because I am going to set up a booth at the Hillyard Hootenany here in Spokane,Wa. I got some Lucky 13 products and hope to do a few haircuts. Hope to see some cool people and just have a good time.

Post more later...thanks to all who have been praying for me while I have been gone

Another post...again been a while

Lets see where to start....I really miss my wife and kids and that is the most important thing. I have been working really hard trying to make some headway and the truth is it does not seem I am making progress. I will just keep working hard and then go home to my family.

Marshall and Alicia came home from going to Seattle for the 10 for 10 show. They not only came home with a sweet Death Before Dishonor shirt (thanks Frankie) but the program from the Chelsea v. Sounders match a few weeks ago. I wanted to go but thats life. New season starts soon and look forward to seeing Chelsea rock the next 09/10 season!!

This past weekend was fun.... Saturday was Murphy's wedding and Friday I went out to just get a meal and ended up hanging out with Josh Scott, Jeff Allison, Gina, Anthony and Laurie Scott. Punk rock, a few beer and good friends always makes for an awesome evening!!! Murphy's wedding and reception ended up being a really good time...I am glad me and Murphy are friends.

Just finished 1 and 2 Peter, 1,2 and 3 john last night.

June 30th 2009...playa

Well here I am in almost week four of my trip to Spokane, Washington. Everyone has been great to me...Alicia and Marshall have opened there home to me and its been great been here with em' and Brent has kept me out of trouble by keeping me busy.

I finally finished Crazy Love by Francis Chan. I am telling ya if you have not read it you really should...it will wreck the way you view God and who you are and should be as a Christian. Ia m not into book two Vintage Jesus by Mark Driscoll (pastor at mars Hill in Seattle). Not much to say because I just got into the book but look forward to digging into it.

Apart from missing Beth and kids I am missing being in church and fellowship with other Christians..... Sometimes that fellowship is important. There is a sense of accountability that you have that you do not have with other people.

As I am sitting around Spokane working I see these opportunities that a few people want to give me and it is easy to jump up and down excited but the realistic thing is having to wait...try and trust God cause it does not mean it is the right thing to do and when it comes to the way I live my life I am trying to hard to not roll back to where I was when I used to live here which is just drinking and had no real focus.

Well time to get ready for work.....hopefully I can post again soon.
Keep me in your prayers and thoughts....be home soonJune

Whats more important....

So I go to thinking about this earlier today and its....is it more important to live for your beleifs or to die for them.

Kind of a wierd thought I know but really.....Sometimes I really think it is tougher to live for your beliefs then anything else. Stay true to your convictions through thick or thin.

Just a thought

Monday, May 11, 2009

As I sit here trying to figure out how to send responses via Twitter (www.twitter.com/frankiedsc) I have one thing on my mind.....Why is it so easy when things go tits up to blame God.

You loose your job "God why?", friend gets sick "God why you let my friend get sick?"...etc.

What I beleive is this....we live in a world of sin. Because of that sin things are a mess. I do not believe God has purposefully put us in a place of calamity. I take what the prophet Jeremiah says -

"11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jer. 29:11

I guess its easy to blame what you can not see and some times it is a bit tougher to have faith when the sea is tossing you around but I beleive God calls us to remain faithful in the good and bad and if you can survive the bad you will only come out on top not just spiritually but just period.

We have to strive to trust God no matter what.

Hungry...

I do not give money to the homeless but every now and again i will go out of my way to feed someone though.

Isn't that what God calls us to do....Feed the hungry, look after widows...etc.

He Has Risen.....so now what?

So today is Sunday....Easter Sunday to be exact. Today is the day that we as Christians celebrate the resurction of Jesus Christ the Son of God. This is the weekend we recognize as the day Christ closed the gap between us and God by taking our sins to the cross.......but whats next?

Acts 1:3 says that Jesus walked and ministered for another 40 days before his ascension...which leads me to his final command which was for the disciples to go into Jeruselam and to wait becuase with this command came this promise to his disciples - Acts 1:8 " But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

I wish on Easter Sunday pastors would preach about the day of Pentecost because Acts 1:8, Acts 2 are all connected to Good Friday and Easter Sunday.......Do not forget that we have been called to be witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Cheers and blessings!

aaaahhhh!!

So it is saturday and I have three cuts in for the day....One more if I can make it that long. I hate being sick because when I get sick, I am sick!!

I need to get up and go to church tomorrow..I feel like I have not been to church forever but I have been going with the kids for the last few weeks. Last sunday was youth sunday and the kids did a real good job. They led worship and everything.

I went job hunting yesterday but the truth is if I can not find a full time job soon I am going to have to find a new place to find work.....I may call Beths uncle Joe down in Simi Valley. He is tied to a union down in LA. Maybe I can get my foot in the door.

Beth is trying out for Shear Genius....we are shooting her audition tape sunday after church....hopefully it comes out ok

Thats been about it.

It's wedsday!!

Sitting here not really doing anything since I have nothing on the books. I am looking forward to saturday though...The grand opening of Covenant Barbershop /Sugahill and DeathorGlory Tattoo. Got a few cuts scheduled for the day.

Lindess asked if she could go visit Living Word Fellowship on thursday and I am really excited about this....Hoping God will use this time to show here more of Him since it is so different then DCC where she goes with her grandparents.

I will be honest I have not been in the word much lately....no excuses just lazy!!!

AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!

I hate customer service people!

So often then not customer service jobs are sent overseas which means english is a second language and YOu have to talk to them like you are dealing with a freaking little kid!

Thursday, February 26, 2009

Man, wendsday was a long day!!

So I got up at 4:50 am and was on the road by 5:30 for my 1:30 interview at the Standard Hotel in Hollywood. I was interviewing for a job at Rudy's Barbershop. First thing I did was hit starbucks and then I was on my way.

Grapvine was crazy foggy yesterday morning and I was actually in Hollywood by 10...So I was pretty early. Interview finally came and actaully went fairly well. I think it had to do with the fact I went in there with the attitude of "whatever is going to happen is going to happen." It would be cool but we will just see!

I will tell you that I should have planned the trip a little better so I could have actually did something other then drive down and back. I did find the Pertersen Museum and also went to the Kid Robot store. Spent a few bucks.

24/7....

"Ephesians 6:18 (New American Standard Bible)
18With all (
A)prayer and petition (B)pray at all times (C)in the Spirit, and with this in view, (D)be on the alert with all (E)perseverance and (F)petition for all the saints..."

So here is my question...Is this concept of "pray without ceasing" to be taken litterally. As I am reading this book about the Boiler Room in Reading, England and I hear accounts of God doing things in places like BURN 24/7 I wonder if there is something to the idea of 24/7 payer within the body.

Is this movement the way for the mdern church to understand what prayer can do in people and communities....I am not sure really and I have asked several people the original question and the answer I get is "I don't know.

Any feedback is welcome...

Well it has happened!!

Our President has done it....I am not sure why I am so suprised but not only has he signed the executive order to shut down Gitmo without having a plan on what to do with detainees but he has as of today overturned a bill that was passed during Regan administration (Mexico City policy) that kept the Gov't from giving money to international family planning groups that promoted abortion as a population control option.

This bill was originally put into place in 1984 and overturned during the Clinton administration. It was reinstated during both president Bush presidencies and now again overturned by our new President.

If he is looking for a way to alienate conservatives pro-life voters.....this was the way to do it!!!

Well here it is....first blog of 2009

I am not making any resolutions....I am just doing my best to be optimistic in 2009. I do not want to set goals that are unrealistic and I automatically set myself up for failure. This includes the way I live my life and the time I spend with God.

This sunday Pastor was talking about evangelism.....and this video is a perfect example of what real evangelism is.

I am going to be in Los Angeles for a few days at the end of January.....So looking forward to this trip...maybe something good will come out of it !
