2nd Annual Hardcore Toy Drive

Saturday December 5th is the 2nd Annual Hardcore Toy Drive. (see flyer below). At last years event we collected $100 dollars worth of toys that were donated to a local battered womens home here in Dinuba,Ca.

You may think that is not alot but considering they were all donated by high school kids within the community I call it a success.

As people start to get ready for the holiday season and we begin to prepare for this years event I am excited and hopeful to see more kids within the community come and participate in this toy drive. This gives kids the chance to do something for someone else they normally would not do.

If you are reading this and would like to know if there is something you can do...well there is:
1) Join us! Bring your kids, your friends or the neighbors kids.
2)Do not want to come to the show...thats cool you can send a toy donation in the mail to us (toys for both boys and girls)
3)You can make a donation via paypal (frank_e_reiland@yahoo.com) that will be used to either purchase gift cards or additional toys.

We want to thank Dinuba Youth For Christ for opening there youth center to us for this event and for their continued support.

If you have any questions feel free to contact us here or at frank_e_reiland@yahoo.com

Cheers

GRR ARGH!

All I have wanted is that one break....the one shop that wants to give me the tools I need to succeed. The door wide open that I keep having to close and ignore. I am frustrated right now!!

Before You Pray

Every believer can have a dynamic personal prayer life. The Bible gives us the keys that we need to develop a powerful prayer life. Scripture is full of examples of men and women who walked with God and used prayer to impact their world, and you can do the same thing through prayer.

However, before praying, there are four things that we should take into consideration.

1. Schedule a regular prayer time. Find a time every day to spend in prayer. The important thing is that we should be consistent. The psalmist said that he prayed seven times a day.
2. Choose a private place to pray. A prayer closet could be anywhere as long as it is private. You can use your garage, pantry, front porch, or any other creative place where you can get alone with God. Some people pray while driving in their car and others pray while working out or running.
3. Try to limit distractions. Don't pray in the same room where you watch television or are tempted by other activities.
4. Have a prayer list to guide your prayers. You should pray for your family, friends, church, etc. This will ensure that you don't forget important things to pray for.

Rev. 2:5....another call for repentance

I really should be hitting the pillow since I have to be up at 3:30 am - I am a sinner...you can thank the first parents for that (Adam and Eve). I like the rest of the world was born into this mess and I beleive that there is only one hope - that is repentance of sin and calling on Jesus Christ who was murdered for our sins!(john 3:16).

Revelations 2:5
5'Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and I)">(I)repent and J)">(J)do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your K)">(K)lampstand out of its place--unless you repent.

This verse is another call to repentance - God is calling us to look at where we fell and where we sinned and repent and return to that place before we sinned.

Listen I know...most of my friends out there do not agree with me and that cool and the stuff I write about in this blog has not changed the way we feel about each other - I am really starting to believe that sin is sin - there is no forgiveness of sin with out repentance - there is no grace with out repentance.

Matt. 3:2 "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." (NAS)

Week over yet

It's been one of those weeks....for some reason there has been a ton of tension around the house. When you are in a house with six people in it you sometimes get to a point where you just want to ring everyone's neck.

I am right now trying to understand the whole "door closes...window opens" concept especially when doors open and you close them yourself. At least work is going ok.

I am hoping to finally have this motor sold this week and maybe have a few bucks to burn a hole in my pocket... ok fine I will put it in the bank.

Two more work days then I am off on Sunday, Tuesday and then on Friday oh yeah with nothing to do.

So here we go folks....

So the other night Pastor Mark Driscoll was on Nightline during a series on the 10 commandments. In the introduction they called him a part of the "emergent" church and this is not correct. (watch video below)

This has been a big issue for me because I have noticed and written about it at different times...."emergent" church is some shady stuff and it has become a big issue I have noticed because some of the leaders within this movement pushes the line of heresy! Teachers within this movement teach doctrine that contradicts the word of God.

A book I have been reading is called "Faith Undone" that covers this topic pretty extensively and has kind of screwed me up in the sense that now all I do is question doctrine....and there is nothing wrong with that....

I wish I could explain it better but I can not....watch the video and I hope it helps make sense of what I am talking about!

Just another day...

Sitting here listening to The Aggrolites...Looking at the schedule for this years ISSE show down in Long Beach. After going last year I kind of want to go again this year and check out some of the stuff I missed out on. This year American Crew will be showing off the 2010 collection and of course there is a bunch of stuff Beth wants to see.

The flip side of this is I am not cutting hair anymore and it is not because I do not want to but I do not have a choice in the matter...I have to make money and right now starbucks is my only option. Who would of thought I would be working at a Starbucks!

It is starting to look like Beth may be seeing a promotion at her job and thats a good thing for her...management and still doing hair so its a win win!

Kids are doing good...Daisy made it through her first football match. Daisy is #10. This is her first year as a footballer and she seems to be having a good time with it plus she is getting much needed exercise.

Lindsee's cheer is the same as last year...bickering little whiney high school girls who think they are better then everyone else (Lindsee's word not mine). She is working really hard in school still stuggling with math though...she almost has a 3.0 so you can not go wrong with that!

Well that is my week so far....annoyed with the news...blessed-so things are alright for now!
